Face Up to Peace Display
Making a mask can build confidence, trust, and be healing.
Masks can be used to focus on specific goals, with each mask offering a symbol of inspiration for a more positive future.
Masks can be brought to life by being enacted by individuals, in a community or group play, or through other expressive forms.
Mask making and mask displays can express feelings, educate, raise awareness, provide support, and bring people together for special causes.
The Emissary of Peace program allows you to make a mask as
part of becoming an active Peace Maker in your community and
getting an Emissary of Peace Certificate.

Face Up to Peace masks are used to raise awareness about efforts being made in several countries to create governmental Departments of and Ministries for Peace. You can make a peace mask and have a picture of it added to the on-line international display or make a local display for your own community.
Imagine a Culture of Peace invites young people ages 5 to 25 to submit pictures of masks, writing, or other creative expressions that represent what “a culture of peace” can be, to help begin dialogue and exploration in local and global communities.
